Quick Fixes

My Luna StoryTime Projector is not turning on.

Make sure the power switch is all the way left (OFF), wait 3 seconds, and then slide it to ON. Check batteries or power supply if it doesn’t turn on.

The buttons aren't working. How can I reset the device?

Arrow buttons work when a character is inserted into the mount.  Without a character inserted, only the star button works.

To resolve unresponsive buttons, first try a soft reset:

  1. Turn off the projector.
  2. Wait three seconds.
  3. Turn the projector back on.

If the buttons remain unresponsive, perform a hard reset:

  1. Unplugging the projector or removing the batteries.
  2. Waiting 30 seconds.
  3. Put the batteries back or plug it back in.
  4. Turning the projector back on.

Alternatively, you can perform a hard reset by:

  1. Locate the small reset hole between the power switch and the projector mode switch.
  2. Gently insert a paperclip no more than half an inch into the hole.
  3. You may need to slightly wiggle the paperclip to activate the reset.

Why is there no image on the wall or ceiling?

Make sure the projector is in projection mode—the switch should be set to the icon with lines around the lightbulb. Also, ensure the lens is clean and unobstructed, and the cartridge is inserted fully. Adjust the focus ring. Make sure you are in a dimly lit space with little outside light to get a clear projection. If there is still not an image, try restarting the unit.

How do I fix a blurry image?

Place the projector on a flat surface, 3–10 feet from a flat wall or ceiling. Clean the lens and slowly turn the focus ring to sharpen the image.

There is no sound. What should I do?

Check that the volume switch is set to a higher setting. Make sure the speaker area is not blocked and inspect the cartridge for damage. The speaker is located on top of Luna in the shape of the moon.

Is there a way to pause or skip?

There is no way to fast forward ahead within a story/song, but you can pause a story/song by hitting the play/pause button. To change to a new story/song, either use the left arrow button to go back to the main menu, or use the right arrow button to skip ahead to the next story/song.

How does the night-light feature work?

Luna includes a soft-glow night-light. While the projector is on, press the star icon button to turn it on or off. Press the star icon button again to select a color. Press the Play Button to play the music. The light stays on independently of the projector. The brightness is not adjustable. The music shuts off after 10 minutes and the night-light remains on for an additional 5 minutes.
